The 2020 Lockdown impacted many people and businesses resulting in retrenchments and closures during that period.
Daniels' business that was once flourishing had to close its doors and stop his only source of income.
During this time, Daniel eventually started working from home to keep operational, however this was still challenging for him as he did not have the help from his workforce and his space was limited to work optimally.
This impacted him financially and eventually he had to give up his rented premises.
One of Daniels regular customers became aware of his situation and decided they would partner up. Resulting in Revival Upholsterers and Motor Trimmers coming into existence.
New premises were found, papers were signed and a partnership was formed where Daniel could continue his work and provide for his family while keeping his entrepreneurial dream alive.

It all started with a pair of trousers that his Father bought for him as a young boy. Eager to try them on he found that were too big so he decided to try and stich them himself for a better fit.
Impressed with his craftmanship he took it upon himself to find anything in the house that could use the attention of a needle, thread and some offcut material.
Eventually, Daniel found opportunity of fixing up couches and other furntiture that were torn and needed some TLC. He acquired his first sewing machine and found mentorship with a experienced upholsterer that showed him the ropes in the industry.
After a few years, Daniel decided to start his own upholstery business in the East Rand which at first was difficult but soon he became widely popular in the community for his quality of work, attention to detail, speed and his unforgettable friendliness to all who walked through his door.
All in all, Daniel has 22 years of upholstery experience behind him which all started with a pair of trousers that were too big for him.
